With property values falling it seems to me that revenue for our public schools in Ohio will also be less since funding is based on property values. However, the Ohio Supreme court ruled our funding process unconstitutional years ago and chided the legislature (albeit weakly to fix it).
Well they haven't done anything to fix the system. So, I think it is time for the court to act. The legislature should be held in contempt and given a short but firm deadline to respond to the method of the public school funding. If not then they should all be arrested and held accountable for their lack of action to a court order.
If this were a regualr citizen thumbing their nose at the court you can bet their behinds would be in jail. The time for rhetoric has long long passed. The time has come to act.
